The interest of the fair, but still weak, sex in motorized vehicles is quite understandable. It is the motorcycle that embodies the real aggression that attracts women. A girl on a motorcycle is a common sight on the roads. What advice can you give to women who have decided to learn to ride a two-wheeler?
First of all, you need to think about which motorcycle is best for a girl. Some are interested in beautiful, aggressive sports models. A typical sportbike is a modern design, a large number of lightweight plastic weighting parts and, of course, a powerful high-speed engine.
The desire to tame such a horse is understandable, but there are a few things to keep in mind:
- A heavy motorcycle is actually harder to maintain;
- a sportbike has a low seat, which makes it harder to keep your balance;
- excessive power requires special control;
- when learning to ride, there will be frequent falls, which means that numerous plastic weighting elements will quickly become unusable.
Thus, we can draw a simple conclusion – a sportbike is not the best motorcycle for a girl, especially if she is just learning to ride.
What a beginner biker needs
It is better to start learning two-wheeled vehicles with low-powered bikes (up to 150 cc) and as you become more confident, you can move on to more powerful models. A convenient option for learning is Soviet equipment, for example, the good old Minsk. It’s not scary to fall off, and the motorcycle itself is not particularly damaged. You can also pay attention to 200cc motorcycles made in China.
Once you learn to keep your balance, you can choose more suitable bikes:
- The Kawasaki ZXR-400 model is a compromise between a high-speed aggressive bike and not very powerful equipment for beginners;
- “women’s” bike Honda CB 400 is very popular because it is made according to the classic scheme, it is easy to handle for bikers, it has a comfortable seat that provides a comfortable and safe fit;
- powerful Suzuki Bandit 400 is an option for more experienced women bikers, it is not quite a female model, but the engine does not have a high cubic capacity, and the bike itself is quite maneuverable;
- the Yamaha FAZER 400 has a narrow body, which implies a comfortable fit and easy balance, which will be appreciated by girls;
- Suzuki RF400RV or RF400R – this option is closer to the desired sportbike, while being easier to control, it stands out for its predatory design, which is further emphasized by the side elements made of plastic.
As you can see, there are many types of lightweight motorcycles that are most suitable for women. At the same time, our motorcycle school for girls recommends taking a driving course under the guidance of experienced instructors who will help you master motorcycle driving faster and give you useful recommendations for safe riding.
